We all had preconcieved notions of Florence but not very many of them were fufilled unfortunately. The home of the Renaissance wasn't particularly beautiful and every other building was a hotel which was unbelieveably annoying. We never did make it to see David which may have contributed. We got there quite late as we had to get a train to Naples, then Rome, and then Florence. We got a triple hotel room and then headed out to get food. We were eating one meal a day and even then we weren't pa…

This was an intense day - David, walking, double espresso, gelato, staw market, Ponte Vecchio, more walking, Giotto's Bell Tower, more walking, riding a city bus home, and more walking. But what a great day in a series of great days! I think I will write more later but for now a few photos:

Ah my last stop before going home! Florence is an amazing city and my favorite of the big 4 (Florence, Milan, Rome, and Venice). It will be sad to come home, but the traveling will keep going! I get home the night of the 26th then leave the morning of the 27th for South Bend, IN where I am taking my dad to the Notre Dame Football Fantasy Camp!

Well, weve left Florence after 3 days, hoping to have a long stay in one hostel, but didnt quite work out that way. No hostels for 3 nights in a row so we had to move EVERY night, haha...ended up not seeing Tuscany the way we wanted to except from a bus window. I definitely could move here. Its exactly like Under the Tuscan Sun...rolling green hills, groves of olive and lemon trees, medieval castles and stone villages built on rock, and Im sure, that chick from the movie was…

Ok I dont have much time so I have to be fast. Spent four nights in Rome, was awesome. Saw the vatcian while the pope was giving his weekly address, the museums, the frescos, the piazzas and the trevi Fountain.
Currently in Florence. Saw the David today, was absolutely amazing. How any one can produce such a masterpiece is beyond me.
Decided to head to Nice tomorrow, so this will be our last night in Italy. This is sad. Italy is an amazing country, will bring some special liquors h…
