Don't fly away from this one! Mar 17, 2013
Flights of Wonder is a stage show, located at the Asia section in Animal Kingdom.

It is mainly about the different types of birds from around the world, and their natural behavior. It is hosted by a trainer, who shares some interesting information on the types of birds that come on stage. Some of the birds that you get to see include parrots, an eagle, a hawk, among others. Plus learn the importance and benefits of them, like controlling the rodent population.

The show does get “interrupted” by a tour guide named Gauno Joe. He is kind of entertaining, and does add some humor to the show, and learns about the birds, along with the audience. And the birds do fly in from somewhere, and perform some tricks to display their natural behavior. Sometimes, they would do them with volunteers from the audience, so it can be interactive at times.

After the show ends, you can go up to the stage, and get a closer look at the birds, and ask any questions about them.

The show is entertaining and informative, plus an effort at conservation, makes this show a winner in my book. Definitely worth seeing at least once. Needless to say, a must-see for bird-lovers.

The show lasts about 25 minutes, and around 5 showings per day. Check the Times Guides for exact times.
