The Flavors of Honolulu is a food festival held in Downtown every year, although recently it was renamed to the title it holds now. This is a great way to experience a little of Hawaiian culture. There are lots of booths set up in the park and for only $6.00 USD you can revel your taste buds in a variety of marvelous foods. You will find everything from Chinese to Korean to Hawaiian to a yummy blend of all of these. Of course, what is a festival in Hawaii without the opportunity to have rainbow shaved ice or kettle corn. There is also live entertainment, a wine tasting and other great events. Keep in mind that it is this weekend only (June 29-August 1. To just browse the booths is free, there is a base fee of $6 for tasting but to actually eat meals will cost you a significant amount more. However, you can enjoy the festivities for fairly cheap. So if you are in Honolulu this weekend, check it out! And if you are ever here in June, be sure to look for it.
