First time in real snow...

Another school trip... Getting there was an ordeal in itself! We spent 23 hours on a coach driving down to Dover, then ferrying across to Calais, then the long trek down to Flaine. I remember only fragments... Toilets that were only holes in the ground, with angled foot rests on either side - countryside that seemed to stay exactly the same for hours and hours, and then would suddenly change to something completely different - the buildings in Flaine looked like cement lego blocks, cli...
