  Flagstaff snowboarding Nov 01, 2008
If you are going up here just for snowboarding by itself, you probably won't be too impressed. The snow was really crappy and it was more like compact ice. However, two of my friends and I went here to get away from Phoenix for a couple days. We made the best of it and hit the town of Flagstaff at night. I was expecting an average night, but all the bars were packed and full of life and energy. Despite the crappy snow, the great night out of dancing in this small snowy town made it all worth it.

If you live in or around Phoenix Flagstaff's Snowbowl is a fun place to go snowboarding or skying. Flagstaff is a short 3 hours from Phoenix. The best time to go is when it has fresh snow on the ground otherwise the snow gets very icy and packed quickly. The runs are somewhat short but if all the runs are open there are more options.
The small college town of Flagstaff is a fun place to stay. It has a decent night life and a lot of cute shops.
