The fishmarket in Bergen is the biggest touristtrap in Bergen. There are stalls selling different kinds of food from the sea. There are also giving away free samples of different kinds of meat. The main thing being sold is souvenirs and fake t-shirts.
Very few of the locals go to the fishmarket to buy their fish since there are quite a few complaints about the quality and the freshness of the food. Go to the Fishmarket to get your free samples of Whalemeat and King Crab, but dont buy anything else as the prices are adjusted for tourists and you can go to the supermarket to buy the same goods for half the price.
