Fish & Chips Room

I think coming here after a tiring day in waterpark won't give me too much guilty feeling of having something unhealthy and deep fried! Roy took me here for me to sample the close-to-original UK fish and chips shop.
This place is a small restaurant in the back of Jumeirah Residence promenade. The room is decoated in bright yellow color. With glass display where they put the ready made food behind the counter at one side.
We made up the decision what to order very quickly. I ordered 1 haddock fish with fries *chips* and Roy ordered scotch pie with fries. Then we added deep fried haggis.
The food came quite quickly, a large portion (for my standard). The chipss are nice and the fish is fresh with crispy flour. But my favourite is haggis:). Scotland specialty dish made of the inside part of sheep and mixed with oatmeal. This haggis they cut in small pieces, battered with flour and deep fried (of course).
Inside the restaurant there is a small rack selling 4 nations of UK's fridge magnets and emblems.
This food reminds me of similar - unhealthy deep fried snacks we have back home in Indonesia, the only difference is that we won't have vinegar, salt and pepper as condiments - but fresh chilli and chilli sauce will be enough!
