First House Hotel Bangkok

This hotel was part of the package we got. My friend and I were surprised that it's way better than what we've expected. We arrived really late in Bangkok so we can't really tell the moment we got there if it's a good location. One thing we've discovered by midnight was that it was close to a 7-11 store, so that was good enough for someone really hungry.

Anyway, the lobby is impressively clean and the hotel staff were friendly, although there was a bit a language barrier but they were patient enough to find the right words to get their message across.

The moment we got to our room, we were greeted by a really pungent smell which we found intolerable. We had to ask the hotel staff to check out the room for themselves and requested to change the sheets which they were quick to act on. But it's worth mentioning that the room was very organized when we first got there.

The room has the ff:
air conditioning
(relatively small) TV (which you have to smash a few times to work)
Radio
Shower and tub
Fridge with costly items (most hotels do anyway)
Telephone
24-hour hotel service

So the next morning, I was happy to know that the hotel's perched at the centre of shopping areas and tourist spots, all within walking distance.

On my last day, I got so concerned that I won't have the time to try the thai massage due to lack of time but had to find out from one of the staffs that they offer the service in one of the rooms at the lobby, so yay, didn't have to go somewhere else.

We've stayed in this hotel for 4 days and didn't have any problems at all. I also like the fact that taxi drivers have no issues finding this hotel, so that's a plus.
