Citytrip Copenhagen Jun 20, 2013
We went here for 4 days, absolute great hotel, near the big shopping street and central station. Also on walking distance from tivoli but unfortunately this wasn't open yet, a week later Tivoli will open the doors for summer 2013.

We did a bus tour through Copenhagen, and we see the Rosenborg Slot, the Palace and the Little Mermaid. You can also visit Nyhavn by bus, but we did it by feet. It's a great route to walk. Nyhavn is very very beautifull with the boats the little marina end the restaurants at the sides.

Copenhagen is not a big city compare to Rome and Barcelona. So 4 days is a little bit long. If you go 3 days it will be enough to know the city.

The hotel First TwentySeven is a good hotel. A very modern hotel with nice rooms. The breakfast is even better.

Good location but super tiny room Jul 05, 2013
This hotel is located in the heart of Copenhagen. 3 minutes walk to the Town Hall, 5 minutes walk to the Tivoli Garden and Strøget the longest pedestrian shopping street.

The reception area is weird in design. I was not sure if that was the reception or a mini mart. There were drinks and snacks sold behind the reception. The reception staff were not facing you when you check in.

There was a nice restaurant and bar on both side of the hotel. The elevator was old.

Our super tiny room( 120sf) was clean but really really small. When I had my suitcase opened, the other person could not walk to the other side. The bed was so close to the wall and the one that sleep on that side would have to get off the bed from the other side. We constantly banged with each other because of the space constrain! I was very upset and uncomfortable with this room. We want to upgrade to a bigger room but the reception claimed that it was fully booked. Our standard room was about USD200 a night and what we got was a room like a box!

The bathroom was clean and extremely small. The walk in shower were so tiny, my body touches the wall all the time and it was cold! The Amenities provided was the hand soup and the all purpose soap in the shower - forget about the shower cap. They do have the hair dryer though.

Breakfast was not included even though we paid such price.

The complementary WiFi was good though.

I guess the selling point for this hotel is the location and the free WiFi but I think I can get this some place else. We will not return to this hotel.

Danish design in a small package (cute but a bit loud and pricey) Apr 30, 2008
The design is definitely Danish modern and stylish. The lobby / lounge is a nice place to hangout. There is a happy hour with appetizers that is no additional charge, full of tasty treats. There is also a unique wine dispensory that you get a card and put whatever amount of money you desire then you personally choose, swipe the card, and your wine is dispensed. There are a good dozen to choose from!!! This is a hip place to be.

The front desk also has water and snacks to purchase which is very convenient and not really much more than a convenience store.

The rooms are small! They are nicely appointed but, really small! The matress was ok...a little hard. The bathroom was small but nicely outfitted and clean.

It can be a bit loud. There are several bars and a mostly young clientele. They like to party. So, the halls can be loud late at night. The thump thump of the bass from one of the bars went on ....all night and finlly stopped at 6 am.

If you are in Copenhagen to enjoy the nightlife and sleep in the day, this is the perfect spot. It's close to everything, as well.

It's pricey but, everything is in Copenhagen and Scandinavia. It's a great hotel, just not for the average traveler, which is me.
