Fireworks on July 4th, I mean, July 3rd Jul 06, 2010
The most you'll have to pay for is parking, but if you are there for the weekend, then it should be included.

Anywho-on July 3rd, not the 4th, the Cheseapeake beach area does it's fireworks and the town is loaded with spectators. Usually North beach does their's first, but this year (2010), Chesapeake Beach went first. C Beach is usually bigger so they go last, but something changed this year.

People who have property crowd their balconies and patios. Neighbors cover the grassy hills and visitors take over the hotel and casino parking lot and hillside. Some people even watch from the waterpark. When the sun sets, Chesapeake Beach releases a dazzling show of fireworks and just when you think they're done, they release the finale.

If you go for the day and try to drive home that night, I hope you live close by. Traffice getting out of town that night and the next morning is a miserable task. Hint: don't even think about parking in residential neighborhoods, coppers are parked in unmarked cars and folks get tickets if they are parked somewhere they are not supposed to be, if they are blocking drive-ways, or if they don't have the appropriate visitor's pass.

Firecrackers and sparklers are illegal in MD, but residents seem to set them off left and right-so be careful and just don't light them. Don't be the one that gets caught and fined. Don't be the one that sets the hill on fire because you decided to light up some fire crackers in a patch of dry grass!
