Firestone Vineyard Los Olivos Reviews
Get Fired up May 24, 2010
I was here at the tasting room right after the wine fest which meant the there would be less of a crowd and therefore had the full attention of the staff. It was a quick jump in and taste what they had to offer. I was impressed by their wines, especially the Sauvignon Blanc and the Cabernet Sauvignon. The staff was well informed on the wines and winery. The tasting was $10 for six tastes, but that includes six (6) additional tastings at their sister Curtis Winery next door. I opted not to pay for a tasting since it was so early in the afternoon and just tried the two wines I mention.
The place was very welcoming. They sold and sampled a variety of specialty olive oils and other gourmet products. Along with great pairing information you can get a pretty good history of the winery and the friendly little dog that runs freely around the tasting room. The grounds were nice and there was ample parking.
My recommendation - Go on a weekday and to enjoy the service and all their great wines.
