Pizza from around the world Mar 08, 2012
Fire & Stone Pizza is located in Covent Garden, just one block from the infamous market.

The restaurant itself is an open plan and can get loud sometimes, so not a place if you are looking for a quiet romantic dinner. The atmosphere is casual and social. There is a huge world map made of paint can lids on the wall. This map reflects their pizza menu.

Fire & Stone Pizza serves pizza with a bit of a twist. They presents an exciting menu of dishes from all over the world in pizza form. Each dish is named after a world city, like London, Marrakech, Bombay, New York etc. They also serve pasta and salads.

I have been there a couple of times and tried the Grilled goat’s cheese salad. Of pizzas I have tried the Melbourne (mozzarella, tomato sauce, brie, sweet roasted butternut squash and balsamic roasted red onions, topped with toasted pumpkin seeds) and the Bombay (roast tandoori marinated chicken, spiced tandoori yoghurt base, broccoli, sliced red onion, mozzarella topped with spiced mango chutney, cucumber and mint yoghurt). The Melbourne was very good, but to my surprise the Bombay was tasteless. All the pizzas come in regular and thin crust. Thin crust comes with an extra cost!

As far as service goes, it has been okay, but nothing more. They are a bit slow in taking orders, but the food comes quite quickly. Both times I have been there it seems like many of the staff member are new. Someone is constantly telling them what to do.

If you are looking for a pizza place with a twist, look no further. Fire & Stone Pizza is it!

Unique pizzas in Covent Garden area Nov 24, 2011
We visited Stone and Fire recently what a excellent Pizza restaurant offering a variety of pizzas from all around the world. I had the Ko Samui Pizza very yummy!

They have seating upstairs and downstairs. But downstairs is very hot as that is where they cook the pizzas.

Cocktails are around £6-8 each and Pizza are around £8 - £12.

Just across from Stone and Fire you have Adventure Bar which is in a cellar and lovely cocktails.

Highly recommend visiting if in the Covent Garden area.
