Finally good Coffee!!! Oct 10, 2009
I did not realize how hard it would be to find good coffee in Ireland. I went to a few cafes, and even in my B&B, the coffee always tasted burnt. I'm not sure how they get that taste, but it's not good. Finally upon a visit to the main tourist office in Dublin, I found the Finn MacCool's Cafe upstairs, and it had really good coffee. Not only that, but since the Dublin Tourism Office is in a rehabilitated church, the atmosphere is unique. You are on the second floor, close to the vaulted ceilings of a church with stained glass windows around you. And the seats are very comfortable. I made numerous trips to the Tourism Office, even after I figured what I wanted to do and how to go about it. I just wanted the coffee.
