Finlayson Church Aug 20, 2010
In 1846, the workers in Finlayson’s textile mill were granted the right to hire a factory priest. It was the origin of an own church for the workers which was built between 1878 and 1879. The British influence is visible in arhcitecture and even the organ is of English origin. It was build two decades earlier in London.

Since 1996, the church has an additional function as the „children’s cathedral“. This means, that a lot of activities in religious context are offered for children here.
