This was just a short stop for us. Could not have chosen a better place, the resort had plenty of activities and a great stretch of beach. We found time to take a guided reef walk, great views with the aid of a glass bottom box.

Fiji chill out

Monday 19th June This morning I woke up Fiji time (I slept in) and after waiting sufficiently long for a bus, finally boarded a coach that took me any another group of very pale tourists to a boat on a nearby river. I was excited at the prospect of staying on an island. I had chosen Robinson Crusoe island because of it's size, amenities and quietness... all I wanted after the invigorating month in New Zealand. Upon arrival we were given a typical Fijian welcome …

The plane to Fiji was horrendous, i done my usual trick of getting pissed the night before traveling and was sick on the plane (which is a new accomplishment for my hungover traveling stories)Me and Dan were both happy when we got to Fiji and it wasnt pissing it down, as the weather forecast had suggested for the wholetime of our trip. We landed in Nadi, which has nothing there but a cool looking temple. We went for a look round on the first day and got ripped off, went into a village craft s…

I'm in Suva now. We just spent three days and two nights in a village up in the mountains with no electricity and only two bathrooms for the whole community. As intense as that may sound...I was fully prepared for it and was not shocked by the standard of living. Everyone is happy and everyone has their role in the community. Once again everyone was welcoming and made us all feel right at home by over-feeding us and holding kava ceremonies every night. We're in the city now. We're stayi…

Fiji Honeymoon: Savusavu Travel Photos
posted by:

My wife & I were fortunate enough to go to Fiji for our honeymoon. We stayed at The Koro Sun Resort in Savusavu on Vanua Levu. The resort was amazing with beautiful views, comfortable bures and access to almost any activity you would want or need. The thing that sets it apart from other resorts are the people. Everyone called us by our first names and would do anything to accommodate us in any way. We made many friendships there and will continue them and look forward to visiting them again.
