Fiesta Latina - 28, 29 & 30 août 2009

Once a year every August you can find the Fiesta Latina in Ixelles. The Fiesta brings out all the Latino's in Brussels to on giant party that last a whole weekend with food, music and drinks. Naturally there is all kind of thins for sale but the music, the food and the drinks are the most important.

The Fiesta is very popular and very funny to participate in and thousands of locals and almost all the Latin American community usually joins in. The last two years it has been situated in the middle of Avenue Louise where they have blocked the whole area of around Rue Baillie.

I had a wonderful party the 28th this year - I will if possible join again next year.

The party goes on from noon to 2am and there is both live music and discotheques. There a very symbolic entry fee of 5 euro.

Concerts, Dj's, parties, terrasses, mercadillos sans oublier la caïpirhiña et les mojitos, … Mais au-delà de l'aspect festif, c'est avant tout un quartier qui sera à l'honneur, et il suffit d'y passer pour se rendre compte que celui-ci ne manque pas de dynamisme.
