Festival Place Nassau Reviews
Bahamas Information and more at Festival Place Mar 25, 2010
Festival Place is the major welcome center in Nassau, Bahamas. It is located at Prince George Wharf cruise ship terminal. While it caters to cruise passengers, all Nassau visitors will find good travel information there. When disembarking a cruise ship, it is impossible not to pass through it!
A staffed information desk has guides to Nassau sights and attractions and tours. Be sure to pick up one of the free Nassau and New Providence Island maps!
There is a Post Office where stamp collectors can find Bahamas stamps. A number of local vendors operate stalls in the mmarketplace section. (Probably better to check these out on your way back.) Surry rides are outside as is a taxi stand. Note that taxi drivers will often want to take you on a full Nassau tour. You may need to step outside the premises to find a taxi to a single destination.
Live music also takes place on the outside plaza.
