Ferry Reviews

The ferry booking was done via the website. The ferry port was very busy and ticket queue can get pretty long. So save yourself the hassle and the queue - do it online! The website also offers package deals that include ferry and accomodation. So if you have planned well in advance, this can save you quite some money. The ferry cost me £61.50 (car + 2 adults - return) It is advisable to be there atleast 30 mins and at the most 60 minutes before time.
The ferry ride is about 55 minutes. There's a restaurant onboard. We could not find sitting place on our way back because of the return rush. So if there's two of you, the non-driver can rush ahead and grab the seat with the best view. One of the highlights of the trip was the sighting of the RMS Queen Mary 2 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Queen_Mary_2). Part of the Isle of Wight 2007 travel blog |
