Ferrari world park Abu Dhabi Reviews
A theme park you only visit once Jan 25, 2013
The name Ferrari World is the selling point. The theme park showcases the Formula Rossa, the fastest roller coaster in the world with a speed of 240km/hr in under 5 seconds. There are a lot of rides and interactive games for both young and adults.
I am not fond of theme park rides but there are plenty of interesting things to see, provided you have the knack for the brand. Having said that, this is not a theme park that I would revisit even for free.

Comparable treat to tame your need for speed Feb 22, 2012
This is a bit of a must do for all racing fans whether staying in Abu Dhabi or other parts of the UAE. I must admit I am not a huge racing fan but I really enjoyed it.
Its about as expensive as other theme / water parks in the region so you're looking at around 200d per person but if you get there early and make the most of a full day then its worth it.
However - there are a few simulators that you have to pay extra for on entry if you want to use during the day. Also you then have to go and book a time slot which can restrict your movement somewhat during the day if the park is busy.
There is a good variety of activities to suit those that aren't just going for the Formula Rosso. There are small rides for children, an acrobatics show, practice changing a tyre, look around the F1 motorhome, as well as plenty of cars to show Ferrari's development through the decades.
The food on site is expensive - approx £30 for burger and chips x3 but I guess if you're happy with theme park prices its all part of the day.
Try a Sunday - its the first day of the week so generally quieter.
We got a taxi from Dubai which took just under an hour and cost 150d but that was for 3 of us. A return will still be cheaper than getting there on the bus as you still have the added cost of getting to and from the bus station either side.
Overall its probably a little bit on the expensive side of a day out but if you love racing or looking for a good place to take the teenagers then you won't go far wrong.
Ideal for adrenaline junkies or tifosi Aug 26, 2011
They do not do things by half measure in the UAE and Ferrari World is no exception. Ferrari world is located in the upcoming Yas Island area. A cab ride from the city set me back about 50 dirhams (approx USD 14). A general entry ticket was 225 dirhams (approx USD 60).
Ferrari world is home to Formula Rossa which is the fastest roller coaster in the world (at the time of writing). You get launched from 0 to 240 km/hr in 5 seconds (or something ridiculous like that). I have never felt anything quite like that and I doubt I ever will unless I get launched on a rocket to outer space.
The other rides are tame in comparison but still a lot of fun. They also have basic and advanced driving simulators. The basic simulators are included in the ticket but you need to fork out an additional fee to use the advanced simulator.
There are also other rides specially designed for little children. Also present is a Ferrari museum, Ferrari gift shop and anything else related to Ferrari you can think off.
Going on a weekday would minimize waiting times for the rides.
