Felix River Kwai Hotel Kanchanaburi Reviews

One of the most wonderful hotels I've ever been to Mar 07, 2008

I've written in the title that Felix River Kwai is one of the most beautiful hotels I've ever seen, and that is definitely true. Actually, I've only stayed in one that I thought was better. But on the other hand, I don't stay in hotels much so I am little experienced to fanciness. Still, this place was absolutely wonderful.

The rooms were spotless and large, compared to all others I stayed in. They had private balconies looking over a peaceful and well maintained garden that was magnificently enlightened at night. There were fountains and ponds and flowers everywhere, and behind those a glimpse of the river kwai and the famous bridge.

Swimmingpools were amazing as well, placed in wonderful surroundings and pure luxury. I would have expected this at a coast hotel but not at inland Kanchanaburi. The breakfast was delicious and there were just so many things to choose from! I wished we would have stayed longer here so I could have tasted them all ans swam some more in the pools. Staff was friendly and the accommodation just perfect. I really can't find a single thing about this place that wasn't just top.

The only downside maybe is that it was a bit out of the center, but then again the area was so quite and relaxing that I haven't mind a single second. If I remember correctly there were also free shuttlebusses to town and back, so the distance wasn't really an issue.

I can absolutely recommend this hotel. I enjoyed every minute of my stay here.
