Federal Hall museum Jul 08, 2016
Federal Hall museum is in the 150 year old building in the middle of the financial district. It used to be a Customs house and temporary bank that could hold some gold and moneys for financing the city at those times. It is built on the site where George Washington was sworn in as a president and where Bill of Rights was written. It is a great place to run into for a bit of the shade or to sit on its stairs and watch hoards of tourist walking the “mecca of business” streets. Inside there are few rooms that have some historical items, notably bible that was used to sworn in few presidents. In the back of the building there is very good information center with many maps and all information that you need for visiting NYC.
