Faya (formerly known as Faya-Largeau) is the capital of the Ennedi-Tibesti-Borkou province. Faya has about 14000 inhabitants and an airport with regular flights to N'Djamena. The trip down to N'Djamena via the Bahr al Ghazal by car takes about 2 to 3 days.

...hard to describe these 4 days in a few simple words - simply a unique experience... tarnished a little bit by the fact that a hydraulic tube in the power steering mechanism of our car burst between Yebbi Bu and Bini Erde. Fortunately, Jean-Baptiste (as the proud owner of an old Landrover) had a replacement tube and the car didn't resent too much lube oil instead of the special power steering hydraulic fluid...
