Fatih Karadeniz Pidecisi Istanbul Reviews
... traditional Turkish pizza from Black Sea cuisine ... Jun 18, 2010
At first sight, this small restaurant seems like it doesn't offer very much. However, when you get inside you'll see a few newspaper critics about this restaurant which are indicating that this is one of the best "Pide (Tradidional Turkish Pizza" restaurants not only in Istanbul, but also in Turkey.
The menu is simple. They only offer "Pide". Pide is kind of pizza with a shape of boat. You may order your pide made by 2 different ingredients: Ground Beef or Cheese. They can make it mixed, as well (which I recommend).
The secret of the taste here is the ingredients they used. They provide all of them from Black Sea region of Turkey, and all of them are natural. This restarurant has been doing business since 1950s, and never changes the location or enlarges the space. They have special customers throughout years and all of them (including me) are loyal customers.
As I mentioned, I strongly recommend the mixed pide, half of it made with ground beef and the other half is made with cheese. You can also order it with an egg on the top of it. They bring a small piece of butter to make it much tastier.
During summer, if you have a chance you should get a table outside, because indoors is generally too hot. Service time is around 15 minutes from your order, then you'll enjoy your meal.
So, what are you waiting for ;)
