Great foor for both the Carnivore and Vegan Mar 03, 2011
This is not the cheapest place (entrees are between 15 and 30), but, It is one of my favorite restaurants in the US and I make a point to eat here every time I come to Philly for work. It is one of the few places a carnivore can be happy (London Broil herb-mustard basted, cheddar potato gratin, green beans, mushroom glaze 24) and their Vegan companion can be just as happy (# Tres Tamales vegan chorizo/vegetable filling, re-fried black beans, pickled cactus salad, spicy salsa roja 15).

what makes it even more special is the the breads are baked around the corner at the world famous Metropolitan Bakery and I have to warn you about the Bar tender. He is very Dangerous. He has created several very strong mixed drinks that go down as fruit juice. make sure you walk or take a taxi or have a designated driver as one (or two or three) drinks are nowhere near enough!
