Familienferiendorf Hübingen - Hubingen - Hotel Deals and Reviews

The Familienferiendorf (family-vacation-village) in Hübingen is a fantastic place to relax and spend time with the family. The set-up is almost like a youth hostel, you share the dining room and activity rooms and dependend on how many people you are travelling with, it is possible to share a bungalow as well.
The village consinsts of 36 diffent bungalows. Some with 2, 3 or 4 rooms. When I first walked in the bungalow - I noticed a newly renovated toilet with shower around the corner. and then - a staircase. It lead up to a room with a round table, nicely decorated with a small package of gummi bears and a welcome sign. on my left was a small, but very sufficient kitchen. Coffemaker and Hot Water Maker, fridge and stove and enough dishes and all else you would need. What for? No idea, the food was fantastic and buffet style, so more than enough. And being German- they even had the 3ö'clock coffe and cake - served in the dining room overlooking the mountains - so peaceful. Ah, back to the bungalows. Another 4 steps to another level leads to the bedroom with two beds next to each other - but can be put up apart. And when I was picking up my daughters clothes off the floor (thank God for gravity) I noticed there was a fold-up wooden crib under the bed as well. And we had a table in the room as well and a cabinet and a sink. The other rooms both had bunk beds, sinks and table. The nicest was the terrace out back. The whole are is absolutely peaceful and quiet and since the village is run by the catholic church, they are offering mess. And of course other activities, but mainly things that involve walking. There are a couple small playgrounds and the seminar rooms. It is all very inexpensive. Two days are around 80€ per adult (including meals). The staff is super friendly, the food really good (even though Sunday mornings, I would have liked to sleep in) and extremely children friendly. It is set in the woods by itself, so you can walk around for hours. Close by (bout 10min) there is a wildlife park - best was the sommer sledding - but it costs extra...

oh and it is a fantastic place for bike riders - the scenery is great and lots and lots and lots of windy roads through the mountains....
