Arriving back in Fajardo, we hopped in the rental car and headed back to the B&B to get ready for dinner and our evening event: A tour of a bioluminiscent lagoon. Now, most probably know what these are, and for those who don't they are basically bays/lagoons that are home to a species of dinoflagellates, which are a type of plankton, that give off a glow when disturbed. I had noticed on the way to Fajardo (from SJU)that there were a number of "Curves" that I could see from the highway...seriously, Curves? Wow, everywhere is starting to look the same isn't it?:( A far cry from the "exotic" one thinks of when you head to an island. The other globalization reminder...crocs. EVERYONE was wearing crocs. While in college, I spent a semester in Puerto Rico taking general education courses. This was an interesting experience and quite the learning experience. While there, I maximized travel time while minimizing study time ;)

My review pretty much sums up this awesome experience but I need to add a few things. The team of Akuadventures were really nice, especially since we had arrived almost 30 minutes late, due to traffic and having to stop at Pep boys to fix the car window, that didn't want to go back up. They also let us put one of our bags in their van so we didn't have to run back to the car before the tour started. After they made sure that we had had a good time and handed out free ...
