Very nice and convenient hotel in Toronto Aug 12, 2008
What made this hotel fab is the location. It's in downtown Toronto, just a couple of blocks from the CN Tower. Also, there's Union Station right across the street (this is both a train and a subway/metro station). There are always cabs lined up in the front if you prefer that method of traveling around the city.
This hotel is very nice on the inside, and our room was clean and comfortable. Plus, we had a great view from our room of Toronto! There is a restaurant available in the hotel, but it's a bit on the pricey end so I wouldn't recommend that, especially when there are so many other great restaurants in Toronto that will give you the opportunity to get out of the hotel and explore the city. The parking garage was $25 for overnight parking; but it goes by a 24-hour charge so you that price varies depending on what time you arrived and left from the garage. It sounds pricey, but from what we saw during our trip to Toronto you won't find parking to be cheaper anywhere else in the city (especially in the downtown area). However for the location of this hotel, the price of parking was totally worth it. I would definitely recommend this hotel, and will be using it again. It's a bit expensive if you're traveling on your own, but if you're with a partner like I was, you can split the cost and it isn't so bad for a downtown hotel (it runs about $165 per night). |

By the time the movie ended, we were positively pooped, so we took a disco nap at the hotel. Freshly energized, we decided to go up the CN Tower at night (I've been up it a bunch of times but it's always fun to go with people who've never been up there). On our way to the CN Tower, we passed by the Fairmont Royal York… 2006 Toronto International Film Festival - Day 2 |
