Fairmont Hotel Jasper

As a former staff member and avid out doors men this is one resort not to miss! The Lodge is very welcoming from the arrival to the departure and all inbetween. Take in a pint or wine and stare out into the mountains. Once arriving one might think wow very beautiful setting but the lodge looks tired, dont let this run you back!
The staff are amazing and go way out of there way to assist you in whatever you may need.
Theres heaps of things to do and my personal fav is sitting in a chair out on lac Beuvert and taking in the surroundings.

In the winter time I'd say is the best time to hit this resort, if your a on budget or just would rather not spend all your money on accomadations. Summer time rates can peak as high as 700.00 cdn a room per night for a king bed but in the winter months come one come all very peaceful and for a standard king bed and breakfest your looking to be set back a minor 100 bucks (now for a Fairmont thats awsome)
Dont forget to sign up for the Fairmont Presidents club this way getting you free wifi access at any property.
There's many resturants in the lodge and really i could be biased and say OKA SUSI down stairs is by far the best in the place but I'd have to give the moose's nook some credit.

OKA SUSHI - best in the canadian rookies fresh fish in every other night! (know this from being in the stores area when it arrives)

All of Jasper/Banff is pricey, so plan ahead and ignore the costs. Revel in the scenery, the service and the quality.

Winter in Jasper is by far most most fav, though I dont ski or snowboard I can say there's NEVER a line up at Marrmott Basin, dog sledding is amazing also and to just sit in the outdoor heated pool (yes heated to around high 80's) and relax!


FOR THOSE WANTING TO COME TO JASPER AND EXEPECT A CITY LIKE PROPERTY I WILL BE HONEST AND SAY STAY AWAY. YOU CANNOT PARK YOUR CAR BY YOUR ROOM NO, AND WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO YOUR IN THE CANADIAN ROCKIES! LET THE BELLMEN TAKE CARE OF IT FOR YOU. (compilmentry in the winter months and they even plug them in)

On a recent trip to the beautiful Canadian Rockies, I decided to stay at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge.

This hotel is situated a couple of km's outside the town of Jasper, therefore giving it a bit of a secluded feeling. I like hotels which are a bit out of town as it gives you some space to get away from it all.

Check in was fast and very effective. One has the option of either booking a regular room or a cabin style room. The cabins are situated all over the property with different cabins giving you different views.
Finding parking was not difficult at all, as the lodge has ample parking.

The room that I selected was very clean, and had all the amenities that one could expect from a five star resort. Room Service was very efficient, and the servers were some of the friendliest I have ever met.

Overall, I have no complaints about the JPL, and would definately encourage anyone looking to pamper themselves to give JPL a try.
