Fairmont Chateau Hotel Whistler - Reviews - Whistler

My former company sponsored an outing up to Whistler last summer, and I must say that it was just an all around amazing trip. For starters, the rooms are actually pretty small, especially as it relates to the tab, but the property itself and the location more than make up for it because at the end of the day you're not heading to a destination like Whistler to stay indoors. Now I can't say my experience during July would map over to the winter months, but its hard to imagine it would be anything less than amazing during the ski/snowboard season as well.

Also, one additional note about Whistler is getting there is 1/2 the fun. the drive up from Vancouver International Airport is an absolutely gorgeous drive with a number of beautiful stops along the way such as Shannon Falls.

I guess the point to my story is that you just can't go wrong when visiting Whistler as it plenty of activities year round, but for folks who enjoy hiking & mountain biking I highly recommend checking into the Fairmont because it will put you right in the thick of the action.
