I'm still in absolute denial about it, but yes, camp is over.  The campers all left yesterday and it was a little sad to see them go.  Today, however, all the counselors left and it was absolutely heartbreaking.  Living 24/7 with people for 8 weeks, you get to make some pretty special friendships and right now I feel pretty devastated.  I'm staying on to work at Family Camp for a week, so it was especially hard as we had to watch absolutely everybody leave and be left behi...

Yes dear readers, due to popular demand I have decided not only to travel some more but also to continue recording my witty observations along the way (apologies for the fact that I've been away nearly three months before writing anything here - I'm back-dating a little). Once again I spent another fabulous summer at camp to kick off my travels - it was the same mixture that it has been before of busy & fun & stressful & silly & happy & sad & peaceful & chaotic... ...

To finally bring our journey to a close (or to a full circle?) we spent another day of just driving, and being reminded that the USA is also a big country.  We drove all the way across Maine (and Maine is a big state) and across New Hampshire and into Vermont and back to Fairlee.  I read Harry Potter aloud for most of the afternoon to stop us getting bored (and amazingly I didn't feel ill reading in the car), and eventually we arrived back at camp.  It was bizarre seeing it all...
