Fairfield Inn by Macy

Fairfield, CT is a nice, beach community along Connecticut's gold coast. This is where I have lived since 2004, however, since moving overseas in 2007, I have had the occasion to stay in town and need a hotel room a couple times in the past two years. The town has only a couple of hotel options, with the Fairfield Inn being the one I have managed to snag a room at a couple of times.

The Fairfield Inn by Macy (NOT the Marriott chain) is a motel located at the Post Road / Fairfield Avenue circle near downtown Fairfield. The motel is very convenient to a couple of exits of I-95 as well as the Black Rock area of Fairfield / Bridgeport, Downtown Fairfield, the Fairfield Beach areas, and Fairfield University.

The motel is just that, a motel. The rooms are not very up-to-date, but they are serviceable, with refrigerators in the rooms.

There is ample parking, a nice diner right next door (Circle Diner), many food options in the area, and free continental breakfast in the lobby.

If you are looking for a place to stay for a night while driving I-95 or visiting the University, beach, or Black Rock, then this hotel can serve the bill.

Room prices can vary, but generally run around $90 for a night. A little pricy, but then, this is Fairfield, CT.
