My mom and I took a two week vacation together. We took a one week Diamond Princess cruise from Vancouver, Canada up Alaska's Inside Passage to Whittier. Then we spent another week on land going from Anchorage riding the Alaska Railroad to Denali Park and ending in Fairbanks

Have not traveled much yet but feellucky to live in Maui and plan to travel much more. Would welcome travel companions and open to swapping places.

We had a 3:45 (!!!) wakeup for a 5:00 pickup for the airport. We were the only passengers on a full-sized bus 'til we picked up two more at a hotel near the airport. A short summary of our trip to Alaska and the yukon (Canada) by camper truck.

I've been to Alaska about 5 times. I've driven from Anchorage to Fairbanks in the Winter for the Iditarod, I've seen Juneau in the summer, and Seward and Anchorage in the Fall. Simply breath taking up there! I hope I get to go back and Fish next summer.
