Fitzsimons, DUblin Jun 14, 2008
Fitzsimons is a very fun and chic bar located right in the heart of the Temple Bar area of Dublin, only a minute walk from the River Liffey and from where we were staying. Fitzsimons is spread out over 4 floors with each floor having its own bar, the roof terrace is very cool and a trendy place to hang out, it was really busy with a football game on and they have big TVs all around and comfy furniture. The drinks as expected in Dublin are again pricey but thats no surprise. They also have live music i think on the 1st floor and the first night was this excellent guy singer, he sang some really good songs and we were really impressed. Me, Lori and Mike headed upstairs and chilled on some chairs with a few drinks and swapped stories and we felt very comfortable, relaxed and everyone was so friendly. We went back the following evening for some more drinks and it was even busier but just as friendly, welcoming and cool as it had been the night before. Definetely recommend it!

…Since my sister and friends had arrived in Dublin well before us, they did some reconnaissance for us and determined that the club Fitzsimon's was to be the scene of our drunken New Years Eve crimes. (Ahem, a word about Fitzsimon's if you will... probably the only Irish thing about it is it's name.) We drank too much, danced our asses off, and all fell… Searching for craic in Dublin |

After we finished all the drinks we decided to go out to Fitzsimons to start the night there until 9pm when Helen would be meeting us. Fitzsimons was actually really busy as they had the Euro football on. It was the Netherlands versus France . We started up at the roof top terrace but there were so many… The Guinness Storehouse and partying in Dublin! |

After we finished those drinks we decided to move on and the next bar we went to was Fitzsimons. This place was really sweet. It was 5 levels and downstairs there was a club and on the main floor there was a band playing. Then upstairs there was a lounge and on the very top there was a roof terrace. We got another… An amazing first day in Dublin! |

We went window shopping down one of the main shopping streets, Grafton Street before going to eat dinner at Fitzsimon's in the Temple Bar area. Rachel even tried a traditional Irish dish: Beef and Guiness Pie which she said tasted like beef stew. We went down to the bar on the first floor and started people watching. This place… My Goodness, My Guiness |
