FEBO Amsterdam Reviews
World's Fastest Fast Food Sep 26, 2006
In Amsterdam there is a large market of people that want very fast food without the human interaction. I think this is mainly due to some of the other activities Amsterdam is known for.
So on our first trip, and every trip after that, we stop in here for a quick snack. It fits nicely into our "rotation". The rotation is one joint, two beers, some food, start over. We do that as many times as we can in a day. Our record so far is 6 full rotations.
Anyways, being nice and incoherent we were introduced to this place by our tour guide. He recommended the Satekroket. Now I cannot confirm this but supposedly it is a chicken, peanut butter, and veg mixture that is breaded and deep fried. All I know is it is delicious. Who would have thought peanut butter and meat are a perfect combination?
They have everything from burgers and hot dogs to traditional dutch krokets. The best part is this is from a vending machine. Not your typical vending machine, but a wall of little windows you put change into to open and pull out your food. As you remove something, a cook is behind the wall and replaces it with a freshly cooked one. Hence fastest fast food.
If you are feeling a little braver in your state of mind. You can get fresh made fries (a dutch specialty) as well as pieces of chicken and some other great items.
Now to the critics, this place is definitely not health food nor does it claim to be. It is simple and fast food for cheap that tastes amazing.
There are locations in all of the busiest area's (Dam, Leidse, Rembrandt, etc...)
