FAO Schwartz Reviews

From plane, to trains, to video games... the biggest toy store there is... wrong toy store theme but it fits! Jul 22, 2007
So I went to New York in January 2007 for New Years with my friend Brandon and he loves seeing buildings from Movies and wanted to see FAO Schwartz. We went up and down 5th Ave trying to find it but couldn't. So I went back with Becky and Ronnie showed us where it was because she also wanted to see movie buildings. Well, the store is tucked away behind the Apple Store... which is funny because Brandon and I walked by it a couple of times.

But the store is a huge toy store with everything you could ever want in a toy and it's 2 floors tall. All around are different themes to the areas and it's like going into a whole bunch of different worlds... a jungle with monkeys and dinosaurs, a pretty pretty princess palace, harry potter and lego world! Also there is also a bunch of employees there to teach you how to use some of the toys and give demonstrations. When you go up the escalator to the 2nd floor there will be a whole bunch of people gathered around. They are there because that is the Piano that was made famous by the Movie "Big". There you can play chop sticks with your feet.

I don't know what I expected from the Toy Store... maybe more energy. Sure there were deomonstrators... but the people who work there are sort of rude. They are not helpful one bit and get irritated when you ask them for help. Which you think with all the people treating the store like a museum they would be happy to help paying customers.
