Ezard Melbourne Reviews
Ezard, Melbourne Aug 16, 2011
Ezard is located inside Adelphi Hotel in Flinders Lane, in CBD area in Melbourne. The restaurant was opened in 1999 by Teage Ezard, who also own another restaurant 'Gingerboy'. Ezard had won several awards for the food and the wine list, and was considered as one of the best restaurants in Melbourne.
The interior of the restaurant was cozy, and during dinner will be lit up by candles. It was quite a nice place for romantic dinner, or with family, or in groups. Booking is essential as the restaurant seem to be always full.
It took a while for the meal to be served, however they provide bread with olive oil dipping and 4 types of herbs. The best was the seaweed crushing. The friendly staffs would explain about the meal being served.
Food style was 'Australian freestyle', a fusion of Asian cuisine influence such as Chinese and Thai cuisine. The presentation was lovely, and the taste was even better. I ordered the red roasted barossa chicken, and though it was pretty normal menu, I love the perfect combination of the pickle salad and the dressing. Menus are available online in the website, and they have quite a collection of wine as well.
