Exmouth Vacation Guide

Exmouth is one of the most idyllic, paradise locations in Western Australia. Situated on the most North westerly corner of the state, it enjoys a fantastic location, well suited as an oasis pitstop for the outback traveller.

Exmouth is itself quite a small town with a low population. However it exists almost solely to serve the tourist trade. Given it's isolation it's not a crowded or over visited area, but for those making the effort, it's well worth it. For those driving North or South along the state, it's the logical point for a break/stop.

Exmouth enjoys some of the finest fishing on the planet, terrific surf conditions, excellent diving, the most pristine white sandy beaches and beautiful scenery.

Must see destinations in the area include the aptly named Turquoise Bay, and the Yardie Creek gorges. Also, nearby is Ningaloo Reef - considered by many to be one of the best and cleanest diving reefs on the planet.

Exmouth is also a significant US Navel Base location, acting as a repeater station for the Low frequency submarine radio signals.

Today was the long anticipated Navy Pier double dive. Despite not being able to book with the company the day before, I had no choice but to dive with Ningaloo Reef Dreaming because they are the only company allowed to operate at the pier. Ah well. This morning they arrived on time with their brigh…
