Exeter is a city in the southwest of the Untited Kingdom, on the south-coast which has about 120.000 inhabitants. Exeter is located on the river 'Exe' and has been founded by the romans. The celtics, vikings and local lords has conquered the city in the middle ages. During the second world war, Exeter has been bombarded 18 times. So the city has suffered many horrors, but the historic cathedral still stands.
A nice thing to know and to see is 'Parliament Street'. This is the world's narrowest street(2 people cannot pass eachother)!

In Exeter lived and raised old comedian Tommy Cooper. Colplay singer Chris Martin was born in Exeter. On the university of Exeter, J.K. Rowling graduated. She is the writer of the Harry Potter books.

The local football club is Exeter City F.C. The headquarter of this club, St James' Park is one of the oldest in stadiums in England and has place for 8830 people.
