Great fun for family, friends, cats and dogs Aug 14, 2010
Everland is a thematical amusement park that can be compared to Disneyland (Actually I didn't go to the Disneyland, only SummerPark in Denmark, but Everland is so much bigger). It is located outside the Seoul, and it it took the bus 50 minutes to go there (+any time you need to get to the right station in Seoul). So I could recommed you to go there on weekend and leave early, cause it opens around 9.00 and there are loaads of things to do.
First I need to say, that I only had time to go to the Everland, that is a part of whole Everland Resort, that includes also Carribean Bay (waterpark), Home Bridge, Public Golf Course, and 2 museums. The rest of this review would be about the Everland part only.
Everland is divided into few zones, each of has it unique architecture, costumes and attractions. Entering you will find yourself in the Global Fair, where you can buy some food and souvenirs mostly, use information deck etc. Then the hardest part: which way to go. You can choose from: American Adventure, European Adventure, Magic Land and Zoo-Topia (there's also Safari Park that takes around 15 min.).
The thing I tried:
Mystery Mansion (European Adventure)- you go ina 4 people, and shoot ghosts with lasers. That was really fun, cause they score your points at the exit.
T-Express- So must go if you like rollercoasters. Apparantely this one ghas the steepest ride (77 degrees). And it's made of wood. I went there twice
Hurricane- it's that sort of swing, that moves up and down and spinns at the same time. It's located right on the left, basically the first attraction after you leave the main square, so it's nice to go there as a starter
Let's Twist- I think that was one of my favourites. it looks like a wind mill and it spinns in every direction, also all over so you spend a lot of time head down.
Double Rock Spin- is right next to the Let's Twist. It was a giant swing, that also spins 360 degrees, and there's a reverse gravity effect!
Flume Ride- canoe like coaster is also loads of fun, but not that scary as the previous ones. Still they shot your picture during the ride so it can be very funny
