Everett Vacation Guide

Everett is the county seat for Snohomish County with a population of 102,000. It is 35 miles north of Seattle and sits on Port Gardener Bay of Puget Sound. Everett has the mild year round temperatures shared by all the Puget Sound area. Due to it's location Everett has views of the Olympic Mountains, Cascade Mountains, Puget Sound, Mt. Baker and Mt Rainier. It has numerous city parks and recreation areas including those on local lakes, the Snohomish river, Port Gardener Bay and the large city park of Forest Park. Everett has a large marina for boat and water enthusiasts as well as fishing charters, and tour boats.

Two of Everetts' largest employers are Boeing Aviation and the Everett Naval Base. Everett has a community college and easy transit access for the University of Washington campuses in Seattle and Bothell. It is also the home of Community Transit. A county transit company offering mulitple routes and access for commuting into various locations of Snohomish, and King (Seattle) counties. Everett also has a large newly built train station offering routes for Seattle commuters and Amtrack routes.

Everett has the large Comcast Arena which is home to year round events for ice skating, concerts, basketball, garden shows, rodeos, circuses etc. It is also the home of the World Hockey League team of the Everett Silver Tips. Everett also has an out door city baseball field which is home for the Everett Aqua Sox, a farm team for professional baseball.
