The Euro Mar 06, 2009
It has not been long since the European Union decided to come up with \a common trading currency for it's members. Prior to the Euro individual European countries had their own legal tenders and those who are not part of the European Union like England and Switzerland still hold their own currency.
The Euro is a stronger curreny than the dollar ranking at #2 on the top trading currencies of the world. When I was in Amsterdam recently I was able to see the 100 Euro bill which I had never seen or used. The largest I had ever used was the 50 Euro note. Like the dollar, the 20 Euro note is much more available than the bigger denominations. |
