Euromast, great views, but expensive. Oct 29, 2008
Just getting up costs €8,30 which in my opinion is just too expensive. Admitted: the views are spectacular when the sky is clear, and you'll find yourself on top of the tallest building in the country. You can also abseil from the Euromast, play minigolf next to it, have a drink, lunch or dinner or even sleep there (you'll have the place for yourself after closing time!).
Tip: if you buy a Rotterdamcard (€55, students €10, loads of discounts, most museums are free) admittance is free once, or you can buy a Euromastcard for €5 (normal price €16) which gives you admittance for a whole year. You could also reserve for dinner, you woný have to pay the admittance then.
Overall: nice views, but at a cost.

I used to work at the Euromast a year ago. And it was so great! There is no other restaurant in Holland at such a height!! Wonderfull to see how the weather can be changing in just a minute!

With good weather you'll be able to see 30 km beyond!
The platform is at 100m height, the Restraunt at 96m height and from platform at 112m height you'll be able to go with "the spacetower" which brings you to the top of the Euromast at 185m height.

In the morning, day, afternoon I'll be able to take a seat the restraunt and enjoy of the beauiful view at the skyline of Rotterdam with a drink or/and meal, snack.

1 tip...in the weekends there are a lot of people who coming to the Euromast so there might be not anough tables left.

In the evening you'll be able to have dinner at the Euromast. With the lights of the city it sure will have a romantic feeling.

Would like to do something new?
You'll be able to do abseiling or to slide down € 45 each person. It sure is my most excited experience I've ever done! This Sunday Iam doing it again!

I live close to Rotterdam, so Rotterdam will always be in my hearts. The Euromast belongs to Rotterdam that's why I like to talk about it coz it feels like Iam telling something about Rotterdam!

Euromast Jul 25, 2009
The Euromast is a tower in Rotterdam constructed in 1960, designed by Hugh Maaskant. It was specially built for the Floriade. It is a concrete building with an internal diameter of 9 meters and a wall thickness of 30 centimetres. For stability it is built on a concrete block of 1,900,000 kilograms so that the centre of gravity is below ground. It has a "crow's nest" observation platform 96 meters above-ground and a restaurant. Originally 101 meters in height it was the tallest building in Rotterdam. It lost this position for a while, but regained it when the "Space Tower" was added to the top of the building in 1970, giving an additional 85 meters. Euromast is a member of the World Federation of Great Towers.
It really cost not much to visit it (less than 8,70 euro), and than there is that spectaculair view over the city. Also 5 of our group went for the abseilen from the Euromast. You really must have not a fear of highs for that! It was windy, so it makes the achievement much better. Also we had a lunch there.

The Euromast is very, very good. And I'm giving it five stars, because I have a new ambition. Just nobody tell my mum. ;-)

The Euromast is a large tower, shaped similarly to the CN tower in Toronto, although admittedly much shorter. It costs about 8 euros, which I think is really good value, particularly as no-one tries to charge you extra to go up in the euroscoop at the top.

From the platform, you get a really amazing view of Rotterdam (it's a weird feeling to watch a helicopter swoop under you.) Whilst it isn't as high as its American equivalents, neither is Rotterdam; you can see a really long way with absolutely no competition on the skyline, and the views are stunning. We were really lucky with the sunshine too. The platform is totally open, and the fence comes to mid-chest height, so I was actually quite nervous about the height. Silly old me.

You can go up another few metres, to a height of 112m, and board the Euroscoop which is a glass fronted elevator thing that goes up almost to the full 180m height of the mast.At 96m there's a brasserie, which we ignored, but I'd imagine it'd be a pretty good place to take someone you wanted to impress!

So my new ambition? It turns out that you can abseil off the top in summer for about 45 Euros. I missed it this year, which might be a good thing. I'm not totally sure i could make myself step off the edge without so much as a wall to lean on. And how embarrassing would it be if I was actually stuck up there? But at the same time, how much of a story would that be? So somebody remind me next year, that this year, I said I'd abseil off the Euromast.

Euromast is a very tall tower (180m) in Rotterdam. From there, you can have a 180° panorama of the city.

We went there to late to go to the top, we could only access to the restaurant, around 100m high. To enter in the tower, we paid around 8€ each.

The restaurant is in the ambiance of Rotterdam: modern and design. All white, it looks quite posh and class. We only had a drink, and it was not expensive at all (well, we paid the entry before, so finally it was!): 2€ for a coke, considering the location it is fine!
The view is really nice and I really appreciated the moment we had there!

If I had more time (I will do it if I have the occasion to go back there!), I would have gone at the highest point, Euroscoop.
There are sometimes activities that look really fun as “abseiling” or “roping down”.

I'm also going to write a proper review of the euromast (next stop on the trip).  This is mostly because if I write about the euromast here, there will be far too many exclamation marks, madly everexcited ramblings, and adjectives.  If we leave it at I wasn't that impressed with the maritime… Rotterdam

We walked along the pier to the Euromast. We passed many boats, including a submarine and two freightships. As is happens, people were abseiling from the Euromast. With a height of 100 metres it must be a terrifying experience. At the euromast too, ended our day. We went home with this great… World Harbour Days

Our holiday group met up just before the Euromast. Within one minute the group feeling was back! We travelled through Morocco, visited markets in Marrakech, spend the night in the Sahara, so the stories and laughs were immediately back. Our day: visiting Rotterdam, the Euromast, summer Carnival, the Erasmus bridge and a Morrocan… Rotterdam

…Markt the sun was dropping, and by the time I'd showed him the Erasmusbrug and the river Maas it was getting too dark to go to the Euromast and the sun was definately getting towards setting.  It was bloody freezing.  We got a chocolate waffle in the Hagen Dazs shop, and half way through that I stopped shivering, and then we had to go back outside. A quick trip to H&M provided… Rotterdam, or anywhere...

We walked through the centre, looking at the Euromast in the far distance. Could have gone up it, but with low clouds it wasn't worth it. We carried on and found these cube shaped houses by the Oude Haven. Just look at the photos to see the weird cube liked houses which… Rotterdam, Netherland
