Inexpensive hostel close to the city sights Jan 14, 2012
This hostel is almost next to the central train station, which is a good plave to get something to eat, even when it's late.

I spend 4 night in a single room. The room was big with a tv.

There was free WiFi in all the rooms.Breakfast was average, with a pretty good choice of cereals, fruit and bread.

Staff was helpful.

There is a bar on the ground floor. But no real common room.

Overall: a good stay.

Close to Munich Hbf Jun 05, 2012
This is my first time ever stayed in a hostel. The place is very close to the Munich Hbf so it is very convenient for me to take trains to my day trips. I stayed in a single room but shared bathroom with other rooms' guests. In general, it is a positive experience. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room is basic. The best time to use the bathroom is in the evening. If you want to take shower in the morning then you have to wait for your turns. At night, from time to time, there was noise from the hallway, otherwise, it is good.

Great place to crash on a budget Apr 27, 2011
When I travel solo, I like to keep my accommodation expenses down so I can afford to do more when awake. Anyway, so this is the first time I've ever stayed at a hostel. Looks like I picked the right one; the room is clean, quiet (I booked a single private room), no noise from the bar, and the bathrooms are kept very clean. It's within walking distance to the marienplatz and is across the street from the train station. I was initially concerned by the seedy neighborhood - there are sex shops and gambling halls all around, but Munich is a very safe city and I don't feel too worried walking around with the horny gambling addicts

Good Hostel, Great Hostel Bar May 17, 2011
They have a great U shaped bar. Very easy to meet people and the bartenders were very friendly and fun. It's close to the train station and near some great inexpensive places to eat. I would stay here again.

party place Apr 26, 2011
it surprised me when i tried to book it as it is just located next to the Wombat's ( another good hostel in Munich) they are like neighbors, but with different style if i can say like this.

the bathroom is quite good but it's a bit far from the dorm which i see the most inconvenient part, the rest is just perfect! It's for me more like party place, interesting!

Great location, good service Jun 19, 2011
No hot water in our shower in our room, and water gets everywhere in the bathroom because there's no shower curtain. Awesome lounge with a great happy hour and tonnes of people. Internet was ok but wireless was not working at the time. Price was affordable, staff was very helpful, youthful and friendly. Located on a strip with a bunch of other hostels so party central.

Very nice place to stay Mar 07, 2010
Located close to the train station, the Euro Youth Hotel is a nice place to stay at. It is on the street, with other hostels and other places that serves tourists. Good location, and not hard to find.

The outside sign may say “Euro Youth Hotel”, but there are dorm rooms in them. The room themselves are very nice, even if a little cramped. Also nice to have a little mantle (or a little shelf), where you can recharge your camera batteries or cell phone, right by the bed, rather than having to go to a different part of the room. Although the bright orange color was a bit distracting, and takes a bit getting used to.

There is a bar, where there are a few computer terminals. You just insert money into the machine, and be given a certain amount of time to use.

The staff are nice, and helpful on any questions that you may have. There is breakfast, but not free. I did not eat it, but I was told, it was just very basic.

Bathrooms are located one floor below the dorm rooms, and are clean and nice. Just a little tricky, trying to find it, having to go around the place.

Overall, a very nice place to stay.

Affordable All Round Great Accomodation May 28, 2010
Well this place was great, Very close to the centre of town! But also quiet so you can actually sleep! (I'm sure you realize how wonderful that is!)The place was cheap accommodation, but so good for the money! Throughout the whole 3 months I travelled Europe this was one of the best places to stay. Less than 100 meters from the station and 40 mins train trip from the airport, the Euro Youth Hotel couldn’t be easier to find. A two minute walk will place you right in Old town so its close to All the tours, attractions and places to get a hearty Bavarian meal! Large square rooms, no bathroom or toilet inside the room tho - There is communal (lockable) showers just outside each room. This is good in a way that no one else apart from you has to enter your room, so your belongings are safe. By the way, the shower lights are on a timer! I’m unsure on how long the timer is but they will go off eventually and it is scarier than a close up shot of Courtney Love! Rooms were clean and well looked after, there is a small backpackers bar down-stairs for the late evenings you just want to chill and swap stories with fellow travellers, (cheap drinks and even cheaper at 6-9 happy hour) Fun drinking games played with all too and really cool, chatty bar staff =) also free Wi-Fi which is awesome when you want to send a quick email back home or even Skype them. Staff were friendly and helpful, showed us all the hot-spots in town to visit and as we arrived fairly late they let us pay a couple days later (we had un-even cash). All in all a good place to stay for the price conscious traveller.. Clean, safe, and above all fun! Highly recommended!
