Smartphone watching on the 88th floor Jan 31, 2016
S37°49.305' E144°57.887' in December 2015 we bought a Sun Star Adult ticket for two visits to 297m-high Eureka tower, build in 2006. The difference between daytime and nighttime is so huge, that a second visit is worthwhile viewing the city in a different light.

Eureka Skydeck explains in several ways what you see from the 88th floor. It offers a great overview of the city from the Southbank. Binoculars are free. The sunset over the city was amazing and no smartphone could capture this.

For many people not the view from the Eureka Skydeck but their presence on the Skydeck is the most important. The Skydeck is a prime selfie-spot, where the view of the city is just a background. This is enhanced by the free Wi-Fi reception, so everybody can update instantly his/her Facebook timeline. Do not forget to mention you are in Melbourne; otherwise, you leave your zillion followers guessing what blurred city is in the background.

Amazing Views Aug 28, 2012
For those of you have read my blog you will understand when I say this is not an attraction I would recommend for people scared of heights.

That said I still went and did it because I am clearly insane. Its not particularly expensive but I didn't pay for my tickets I got it free when I booked two trips with bunyip tours but i'll do a review on them shortly.

I went a night after i'd finished my day of work experience and met a friend there. There were no ques and it started as a nice experience straight through to the lift and then my stomach turned and my ears popped about 4 times because the lift goes that fast I wasn't that bothered though I some how didn't quite fancy 88 sets of stairs to reach the top.

There's not that much to do once your at the top but to be honest most people just gaze in awe out to city, I was one of them once i'd finally actually got anywhere near the glass (it took my a hell of a long time!) the views are spectacular and well worth paying just to get up there, the city sparkles in the night like twinkling stars and really does have that magical feel about it. This would be a fantastic place to through a high class party. There is a bar up there that we bought a couple of drinks from and perched at a high top table looking out over the city (so amazing) it took these couple of alcoholic beverages to get me near that edge! apart from that there's not much to do at all so take some pictures have a drink and stare at the beauty in front of you :)

Eureka Skydeck Jun 17, 2011
The Eureka Skydeck was quite good and costs about £12pp to get in, having been to the CN tower in Toronto and to Blackpool tower in the UK I have seen a few glass floored towers and although excited to go, wasn’t expecting too much. I had been given tickets from a friend who also bought me the ‘on the edge’ ticket which is basically a glass box that is pushed out and off the edge of the building…

I can only say that I was really impressed with both the experience and the staff – the edge experience is a ‘Must Do’ and if you haven’t been to Melbourne before this really shouldn’t be missed. The views from the top are both impressive and really do give a different out look on Melbourne as a city. Overall a thumbs up from me!

If you don't mind heights, give this a go... It really shows you all of Melbourne which looks so small and is frightening!!! The experience is great! The people and staff are friendly and everything is really close by!!! It's one of the must do things in Melbourne! Price ain't too bad either!!!
