I got up at 4.30 AM.... pfffff... It was hard to get up, but we want to be in the Gamedrive at 6AM, when a lot of animals are active! We did see a lot and we saw the Lion again, but in the grass.. Later on passing us by on the road... We did folow the Chita with her small one…

The sand road leading to Ngepi Camp seemed to be going nowhere, and for a moment we were all wondering where the hell we were going, because all we could see were villages. But Ngepi Camp, which sits on the banks of the Kavango River, turned out to be really nice; it reminds of a resort in Bintan (…

The best time to go to Etosha is in the winter months, when it is very dry and all the animals go to the waterholes.

As soon as we entered the park we got a glimpse of our 1st rhino, unfortunately it was not moving. We took a detour to the campsite to take in some of the scenery and hopefully get a sight of some lions and rhinos which could still move. We were camping at 1 of the 3 waterholes that was a…

I'm back from a extreme fantastic internship/holiday in Namibia.
I went to work in The Katatura State Hospital in Windhoek (make sure you never get there!) and to see as much as possible from the country.
Check my pics!

Had a nice late start, not waking up til 6:45am. Susan looked HEAPS better after her good night's sleep so that was perfect timing. We had yummy French toast for breakfast then headed off around 8:30am. Our destination for lunch was Halali lodge, also within Etosha National Park, where we planned t…

A master in the art of living draws no sharp distinction between his work and his play; his labor and his leisure; his mind and his body; his education and his recreation. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence through whatever he is doing, and leaves others to determine whether he is working or playing. To himself, he always appears to be doing both.

We are gonna stay in Etosha, but the next sleeping place will be Namutoni. Again, halali will be visited, for a quick stop and then move on to the campsite more east in the park. Of course we had to stop by the salt pan, where the first (and last) group photo was taken. Weird surroundings, nothing …

After 6 months of travelling many things have happened. I saw whalesharks in Mozambique, heard lions roaring in Serengeti, smelled exotic spices in Zanzibar. Froze on the way to the summit of Kilimanjaro and sweated in the deserts of Oman. Met Xhosa people with painted faces in South Africa, sipped black tea with Pakistani workers in the Emirates and walked with Buddhist monks around stupas in Nepal...
