Ethnographic Museum (Muzeum Etnograficzne)
Ethnographic Museum (Muzeum Etnograficzne) Krakow Reviews
Good museum to check out Mar 10, 2011
Located in the Jewish neighborhood of Kazimierz, the Ethnographic Museum takes a look at Polish rural life. And a nice place to check out, to get a good glimpse of a different way of life.
Entering the museum, the first floor shows the different rooms in a Polish home in the countryside, as well as models of the homes. Some of the rooms include a bedroom and a classroom.
On the top floor, there is a display of various costumes worn for different occasions. Plus tools, instruments, and other things on display. And see how the holidays are celebrated, like Christmas and Easter, with decorations on display. There are photos that showcase rural life, and how people live back then and today.
Overall, a nice museum to visit, and worth checking out. And a very good option if the weather outside is bad, of if you are in town on the day it’s open late.
