'crazy cheap' T-bone Steak May 30, 2014
The first time I dined in this steak house restaurant was with some girlfriends. Their motif is cowboy/country/rustic so you get this very relaxed feel the moment you enter the restaurant’s salon. As we entered the restaurant we were “greeted” by the crackling sounds of logs burning in the fireplace since it was winter time then. The fireplace is a nice added touch which is at the center of the salon just opposite of the ordering counter. There’s always a queue each time we go, but we always get lucky and do not need to wait long to place our orders. There are couches to sit around just in case the wait takes longer. However, the space is not wide enough especially when it really get busy. In my opinion, they should widen up the salon area (ordering counter/lobby) to provide more space for those who wait.

The way the restaurant is set up is like a fast food style. You get the receipt with a set of numbers on and then you go inside the dining rooms and may sit anywhere in the restaurant. There are tables separated by cubicles and place for open space. We always take the tables by the wall which accommodates 4 people. Two things why we do not like to take the tables in the middle dining area…first; the annoying, unwanted little guests that fly around (flies)…second; T.V. screens that are blasting loud on us.

When food is ready, the waitresses comes out of the kitchen while calling out loud your number. I know it is not very “professional” to be calling out loud, but that’s the “style” or “culture” of that restaurant. We usually grab the utensils, napkins, cups for drinks of soda or water at the counter before we proceed to the table and take our seats.

The Lemoore branch is huge and it is about 6,000 square feet dining space! There are two open bars where cocktails drinks can be ordered. There are also dining rooms suitable for private functions.

We always order the T-bone steak which is crazy cheap – for only $US 5.00 you get an 8-ounce T-bone steak, 3 eggs cooked to your preference, country fried potatoes, a garlic bread and refillable coffee! And their brewed coffee is with a kick! The T-bone steak is super yummy, tasty– it is juicy, and tender especially if you opt to have it cook “medium rare”. It also have this smoky/grill aroma and flavor. So for the four of us we only end up paying a little more than 20.00 bucks! By the way, the $5.00 T-bone steak-meal is part of the “breakfast” menu only. They stop serving breakfast at 3:00 o’clock in the afternoon! At times, my son would order cheeseburgers or sandwiches which according to him is equally delicious.

The staffs are female only, for whatever reasons. Nevertheless, they are very friendly and engaging. The girl who serves coffee comes frequently to our table if we need more refills.
