After one more night in La Casita we took the overland bus from Ciudad Bolivar to Maracay. We prepared quite well for that ride – remember to bring lots of clothes to keep yourself warm when they turn on the air-condition. Anyhow, 11 hours later we were REALLY ready to finally get off the bus; it definitely is a long ride with only one stop for a quick lunch. Just took a taxi here from Puerto Colombia/Choroni.  Taxis are MUCH better than buses - buses are crazy and scary.  A little girl named Camila told me that the bus rides are scary because the drivers all drink alcohol.  I told her "Si tomaste, no manejes." She smiled and agreed.  We got dropped off at the bus terminal because the plan was to take an overnight trip to Merida, but all of the tickets were sold out until tomorrow night.  So we bought what we could find wh…
