Estabelecimento Comidas Dom Galo
Estabelecimento Comidas Dom Galo Reviews
First taste of Portuguese Aug 29, 2008
Beautiful Portuguese food is served in this atmospheric restaurant. We had:
- Deep fried prawn-filled pastries.
- Clams cooked in garlic, wine and parsley.
- Potatoes with bacalhau
- A very meaty kebab-like grilled beef dish.
- Three beers.
FYI, bacalhau is salted codfish ... to eat it, they soak it in water for 3 days before being eaten to remove the excess salt ... gorgeous.
Not cheap at 200 Patacas (=HKD) per person but it is cheaper than flying to Portugal to experience Portuguese food! Very memorable.
