Essex House Hotel Miami Beach

The Essex House is a pretty decent hotel. Their price is good considering the surrounding hotel prices and is only 1 block off Ocean Boulevard. They do not have any type of breakfast (continental or otherwise) so you must go out to eat. If you have not been to South Beach, then you need to understand that everything there is inflated in terms of cost. Bring LOTS of cash or your credit card with the highest available credit. The Essex is not a 5-Star hotel in my opinion, but the staff is phenominal, they'll do anything for you, and eager to please. Which, in my book, goes a LONG ways!! My hats off to the staff of the Essex. The rooms are what you would expect for being close to the beach and in the path of hurricanes. The rooms smell a bit musty. The wireless access in the rooms is great. This is a HUGE bonus for us business travelers.
